As a designer, my expertise has been the foundation of many trendsetting and fascinating projects throughout the world !


Comprehensive theoretical and practical training in every range of general engineering (including: cast-iron forge, metalworking, welding, sheet metal, milling and turning shops, electroplating, fixture and gauge construction as well as working in the assembly departement, the laboratory and the design office) at WINKLER & DUENNEBIER, Neuwied, Germany (offering integrated system solutions for the mail, postal, tissue and hygiene industry).

From 1960 on attending correspondence courses in Civil and Mechanical Engineering from German STUDIENGEMEINSCHAFT DARMSTADT, at the same extending my professional horizon.

Professional experience:

  • At the beginning of the 1960s, I started with aircraft construction for NEUZEITLICHE ELEKTRO- UND MOTORENTECHNIK, Engers, Germany. Member of the team for converting US Star-Fighter F 104 to "F 104 G Nato" version.
  • Common development of the FISCHBACH disc-rotor motor together with Dr Schaefer (former colleague of Wernher von Braun). This innovative and underwater suitable motor later became a large commercial success in the field of air-conditioning technology.
  • 1966 to 1967 development of the SCHRAAG solid fuels compact heating-system in Goeppingen, Germany which also became a commercial success.
  • Development of a myoelectric controlled prosthesis together with a working group of the Technical University Berlin, Germany.
  • From 1967 on followed design, planning, construction, systems-control and supervision of construction of power stations (both, conventional and nuclear) in Germany and in the United States.
  • Construction of refinery and chemical plants, i.e. design, construction and final inspection for FEBA, BASF, LINDE, BAYER and DYNAMIT-NOBEL in Germany.
  • Design of cogeneration units to produce electricity and heat for KRANZ in Aachen, Germany.
  • Design of a waste incinerator using Autocad based 3D-computer-systems for BABCOCK, Germany. This included software development to automatically generating manufacturing isometrics for pipe construction.

  • Shipbuilding: Hull optimization
  • Railways: Tilting device for controlled tilting of the coach body
  • Lightweight construction elements minimizing material stress
  • Fastening devices:
    • Protection against an earthquake
      (low frequency, maximum amplitude about 25 Herz)
    • Or protection against seismics resulting from a plane crash (high frequency, maximum amplitude about 120 Herz) for use in nuclear power stations
  • Design and use of stress-free structures of any given technical systems: Optimization of statical and or dynamically stressed components
  • Forming machines for processing arbitrary sized components reaction-free to the surrounding structure
  • Marine structures: Construction of arbitrary sized immersion bodies made of thin-walled passive controlled cells e.g. for harvesting manganese nodules
  • Space technology: Construction of lightweighted and momentum-free arbitrary sized structures
